HSC TEXTILES & DESIGN
Textiles & Design is one of the more challenging HSC subjects due to the magnitude of the major work component. You may be a standout when it comes to creativity and ambition, but if you lack the experience and sewing skills to complete your major work, your results won’t reflect your full potential. We have a detailed understanding of the HSC curriculum and will guide you towards crafting standout pieces using the right design and sewing techniques. Our students regularly feature in the distinguished achievers list (including first in State), three have been included in the Texstyle Exhibition, and two at the Shape Exhibition at the Powerhouse. We also recommend our Textile Workshop, Couture Embroidery and Fashion Illustration Workshops for students in Years 8-12.
We offer HSC mentoring evening classes on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and daytime classes on Saturday.
These sessions teach high school students the design and sewing skills required to complete their Major Work.
You'll receive expert tuition in pattern making, garment construction, illustration, the layout of mood boards and portfolio presentation.
Our instructors are experienced with the HSC curriculum and will be able to guide you in the context of how your work will be assessed.
If you’re contemplating a career in fashion, get a head start with our HSC tutoring program.
All skill levels are welcome and the course will be tailored to your own skill level and Major Work.
Students and parents are invited to visit our Sydney studio to discuss your requirements in person.
Please feel free to email or call us on 02 9449 1450 and we'd be happy to tailor a program for you.

Textiles & Design is a challenging HSC subject and you will benefit from working one on one with one of experienced teachers who will act as your mentor. Think of your mentor as a trusted guide, someone who can assist you with your choice and execution of your major work and ensure that you achieve the very best outcome. We're experienced with the curriculum and can provide specific skills development and ensure that you allow yourself enough time to complete your chosen project. If you have skills gaps and require more expertise to execute your design, we can also recommend short classes to bring you up to speed.
